Etsy Calgary Craft Party – Tickets on Sale now!

Etsy Craft Party Calgary

Join the Etsy Calgary team for some crafting fun & mingling at Rosso Coffee Roasters in Inglewood, as part of Etsy’s global Craft Party! We’ll be kicking off the evening with a knitting demonstration by Chantal of Knitatude, followed by a talk on using social media effectively by Amber of Dixie + Twine.

After that, be sure to enjoy a relaxing colouring book page drawn by Suzy of Tinged, while you mingle with fellow Etsy sellers and makers in the YYC community, all while enjoying the fabulous snacks and drinks available for purchase at Rosso!

Let’s get crafty together! Bring your current (non-messy!) projects to work on while you chat, network, and collaborate! But please remember to leave those outside food & drinks at home.

“Product Photography for Etsy Sellers” Workshop – Tickets on Sale Now!

Etsy Calgary - Photo Dates Announcementw

The key to selling products online is great photography. When a customer doesn’t have the benefit of picking your product up in their hands to get an up-close look at an item, the photographs need to be able to answer all their questions faithfully and acurrately.

Led by photographer and local Etsy seller Jillian Logee and sponsored by The Camera Store, this two-hour course will go over guidelines for Etsy shop photographs and how to make the most of those 5 photo slots per listing. We’ll cover styling your product photos, using various forms of lighting, and tips for making sure your photos are as accurate as possible.

To get the most out of the workshop, we recommend bringing the following:

– 3 to 5 of your own products or stand-in props
– a digital camera (a smartphone, point-and-shoot, or DSLR camera)
– a notebook
