First up today we have Lisa of Cuddle My Bug.

1. What do you make/sell?

I make cloth diapers, specializing in very absorbent nighttime diapers and inserts.

2. Why do you make/sell it? What inspires your work?

I have designed all my diapers for my son and tweaked the designs based on customer feedback and custom requests.
I want to create the best experience with cloth diapers especially for babies that are challenging to diaper.

3. Is there anything you’d like to tell others about what you do?

I love using natural fibers in my products and buy as much natural and organic as I can. However, I also use some man made products that are very useful for cloth diapers, such as polyurethane (Eco-PUL). Polyurethane is a very efficient water resistant layer that is breathable for the skin and makes a very trim diaper.

1. What do you make/sell?

We make handcrafted gifts & deco, mostly out of wood, but look out for some new mediums coming soon!

2. Why do you make/sell it? What inspires your work?

We make what we make because we both love working with our hands and watching the raw materials take on new life! We love making that perfect finishing touch or gift that our customers have been looking for!

3. Is there anything you’d like to tell others about what you do?

We take our work really seriously. JDB is named after Grandpa who is our inspiration. He owned the town mercantile and was an honorable man and entrepreneur with high values and standards and we strive to be like him.

Next we have Kristi of Wire Expressions.

1. What do you make/sell?

I am a Wire Work Artisan! I make sterling silver jewellery and unique gifts with wire. The gifts I create include Tea Bag Steepers, Beverage Glass Charms (Useable on all types of glassware), Personalized Ornament Hooks, Bookmarks, Keychains and Magnets.

2. Why do you make/sell it? What inspires your work?

Putting a smile on your face and mine‚ĶEverything I make is an expression of my creativity, which is the main reason I do wire work. I sell it, because my creative expression becomes your expression as you enjoy it by wearing it, using it or giving it away! I’m inspired by swirls, flowers, symmetry and general usefulness.

3. Is there anything you’d like to tell others about what you do?

It sounds silly, but I love the monotony of repetition. Making the same tea cup over and over again, is relaxing for me. I also make everything freehand without a jig, which I think gives me more freedom to get things exactly the way I want them! (That’s the perfectionist in me!)

Next we have Rachel of The Bleached Tee.

1. What do you make/sell?

I hand paint designs with bleach onto different clothing items.

2. Why do you make/sell it? What inspires your work?

What started off as a Pinterest-inspired hobby, has now expanded into a passionate business. If you start looking around, geometric shapes are everywhere. It is easy to find inspiration that I can bring to developing new designs.I truly enjoy the process of the work, it is like art to me, even if it is just triangles and lines.

3. Is there anything you’d like to tell others about what you do?

People always ask me if I have a stamp I use for the designs, or pre-made stencils. But I pride myself in making all of the designs unique by doing them all by hand – I have a ruler and bowls that I use for precision needs, but otherwise its all just free-handed with a paint brush.

Finally for today we have Sarah of Pink Sun Malas.

1. What do you make/sell?

I make Mala Bead Necklaces and Gemstone Bracelets. Malas are “Jewelry For Inspired Living”.

2. Why do you make/sell it? What inspires your work?

I love Malas because they help people to live a more genuine and centered life. Through goal making, meditation, and grounding they help us to become our best selves.

Creating Malas is deeply meaningful. I believe that life is amazing, but it is so easy to get off track; I love creating beautiful “reminders” to remind us of who we are and what we can become.

3. Is there anything you’d like to tell others about what you do?

Another wonderful quality about Malas is that they are natural. Made from natural woods and gemstones, they have unique attributes that make them very personal for the wearer. Gemstones have energy that can heal, uplift and inspire us.

Mala beads and necklaces are so beautiful that they are fun to wear…but it is their true meaning that makes them so special.
